I bought a few weeks ago and the chair’s tilt back feature is a little bit sticky and find I have to lean forward, then backwards a few times to get it to adjust. Also, the height adjustment cylinder doesn’t work:( I can adjust the height of it going up, but when I sit down on it, it goes to its lowest setting. For $600, this shouldn’t be happening. The rest of it is really, really good though. Adjustable arm rests, lumbar support and head rest are great! The mesh is pretty sweet if you want something that lets your body breathe while your sitting down. Just don’t go plopping down on it full force, otherwise you’ll wreck it. Sit down nicely.

Pago Aries - quality build and clean lines.

I was sold on the no-tools-assembly of the Pago Aries. Step one: push the five castors into the base, step two: drop in the gas lifter, step three: drop on the pre-assembled seat and armrests. The time taken for assembly (including unboxing) was five minutes. The concealed levers are awesome (no ugly stalks sticking out from the chair) and are easy to use. It was not immediately obvious to me, how to lock/unlock the recline feature. Lift the lever once to free the chair to recline/rock, then pull the lever again to lock the chair in the upright position. This is all explained clearly in the how-to-use video on the Pago website. The chair can only be locked in the upright position, which may not suit some users. The mesh feels supportive under my legs and the curvature of the lumbar support reminds me not to slouch. Overall, the quality of the chair is impressive with everything looking solid and well made. I'm glad I bought it, after searching for far too long for the right chair.
